Palacio Nazarenas - New Luxury Peru Hotel

Palacio Nazarenas is the latest luxury property in the range of opulent Peruvian hotels, created by the Orient Express Group. Due to open its doors to the public in the next few days, we take a closer look at this much anticipated new Cusco hotel.

Situated amongst Cusco's other top hotels (like the Monasterio Hotel, La Casona and Casa Cartagena) and taking its name from the small plaza where it is located, Palacio Nazarenas is Cusco's most recent luxury hotel.

Years of restoration in conjunction with the National Institute of Culture (INC) the hotel offers an exclusive mix of stylish and modern design set in a beautiful colonial mansion. The hotel offers guests a choice 55 elegant suites located around 7 internal patios, a fine dining restaurant, spa facilities and features Cusco's first outdoor heated swimming pool.

Overview of Suites
Palacio Nazarenas offers a range of beautiful suites each with views over the pool or patio area, with some of the suites looking out over the historic City of Cusco. Categorised in 4 levels - Master Suite, Grande Suite, Suite and Chica Junior Suite each of the rooms combine modern comfort with the latest in-room technology whilst retaining the Andean features and heritage of the original building. Accommodations vary in size from 130 - 35 square meters (depending on room type) and feature marble bathrooms, with under-floor heating, free wifi, air-conditioning and oxygen enrichment supplements. Each guest also is given the use of an iPad which is pre-loaded with a map of Cusco and a city guide.

Guest Lounge and Library
To the left of the lobby is a large chapel, which has been fully restored to its original glory. The gallery of the chapel serves as the guest lounge, and this area also houses a display of ancient artefacts found during the construction of the hotel.

Senzo Restaurant / Bar
Resident chef Virgilio Martinez presents a selection regional and international dishes set in the relaxing and refined atmosphere of the Senzo Restaurant. Cleverly infusing local ingredients and flavours to create exquisite tastes and unique textures, guests are sure to enjoy this exciting cuisine.
